The Clarity partnership between Buddy Healthcare and Aamu Partners began when Buddy identified the need for scalable structures, such as an executive dashboard. Aamu’s service promise to growth companies is “we scale and stabilize your business.”

Development of Executive Dashboards and Business Financial Modeling

Buddy Healthcare had quickly reached a point in its business lifecycle where management structures needed to be prepared for scaling. It was recognized that a management support dashboard needed to be built, which was developed based on Aamu’s business driver mapping workshops. At the same time, the company’s business was modeled into a cash flow-based logic tree, providing Buddy’s key personnel with a clear understanding of the company’s cause-and-effect relationships.

Supporting Strategic Financial Leadership

The Clarity partnership is always tailored to meet the customer’s needs. When the collaboration began, Buddy did not have a dedicated CFO, but the need to develop strategic financial leadership had been recognized, and there had been discussions about hiring a CFO. However, recruitment was not necessary, as Buddy’s CEO Jussi explains:

Development of Group Reporting

Buddy Healthcare consists of two companies, a Finnish parent company and a UK-based subsidiary. The group structure adds significant complexity to management accounting and reporting, where Aamu’s support was clearly beneficial.

The systematic work model of the Clarity partnership includes monthly meetings where the company’s key figures are reviewed, along with insights and action recommendations from Aamu’s team. These actions can be highly qualitative as well, for example, Buddy Healthcare is now hiring an executive assistant based on Aamu’s recommendation and role description.
